Here's to another month..

So, here lately i've been blogging once every month... i really need to work on that. Nothing is really new lately... just watching my babies grow up before my very eyes. Here's my buddy - 8 months old in this picture! (he'll be 9 months on the 30th... be still my heart.) He's such a good little boy... happy and smiling ALL of the time! He's trying some table food here lately and loving it. He LOVES cheerios, nearly convulses with excitement when he sees the box come out of the pantry. :) He's also tasted peas, green beans, and some chicken. All of which he was a fan of... minus the chicken. I grinded it up a little and i think it was a texture thing. Here's my princess... 3 going on 16. I have a feeling this picture will be one i get out on her 16th birthday. :) Bless her heart, she is really struggling lately to "obey". And just like that, my baby boy is FIVE!

This sweet boy turns the big 5 today. FIVE. As in, the "Mom, i'm a whole hand" birthday. I think i write this every year - but every year its hard to believe he's "insert another age here". I had no idea how much having a little boy would change my life. Completely different than having a little girl - but just as wonderful. My sweet Caleb, When i put you to bed tonight - you were still four. But when you wake up tomorrow, you will be FIVE. Only a few hours difference, but yet you will seem years older to me. 5 is big. 5 was tough for me to watch your sister turn, and i fear its going to be the same with you. 5 means your a big kid now. You are no longer a preschooler. I may cry. You are THE sweetest boy i've ever met. You pick me "flowers"(weeds) daily, you open my car door for me without me asking you to, you constantly want to "snuggle"

2 years ago today....

Two years ago today, the sweetest little boy stole my heart... My handsome Caleb Matthew, What a blessing your sweet little life has already been to me. It still amazes me that 2 years ago you were just a tiny little snuggly 8lb baby and today you are a walking (or maybe i should say running?), talking, silly little boy who thinks he can already do EVERYTHING his big sister does! Your personality is really coming out these days... definitely a charmer with those sweet smiles you give! ;) But you're also giving me a run for my money with that favorite "NO!" word you have these days. You're a really great sleeper... despite the need to undress yourself occasionally? :P Your smiles are the best, and you absolutely LOVE to be "siiiiide". (outside!) Whenever we pull up in the drive way and you see the swing set, you always ask "mommy... wing??" I usually end up having to drag you inside, kicking and screaming.... :)
